Hey Everyone!

As you all know The Straw-lution Straw is off and running full speed
ahead! We are so excited and humbled by all the enthusiasm surrounding
this new concept/product! It has been quite a roller coaster ride from
day one. From concept to patents, engineering to manufacturing,
starting the company and getting investors, creating packaging and
building a website, learning social media and tackling PR….. my head
has been spinning! But with the help of my amazing “team”, and of
course family and friends, the sky is the limit!

As I’m sure you have seen, we have some very big events coming up! The
Straw-lution Straw will be mentioned in the upcoming September issue of
Parenting Magazine! We have a big trip planned to Las Vegas to the ABC
Kids Expo where we will be featured in the New Product Showcase, and the
Modern Child section of the trade show. At the show,there will be an
opportunity for thousands of companies and distributors to learn about our
new product, from all over the World! We have countless Bazaars, sales,
and markets on the calendar; and are waiting on the feature dates for media,
both online and print, all over the country!

Because we are a very small company with very BIG goals we are reaching
out to our friends and family again! To prepare for the upcoming
excitement we have over 400,000 straws that need to be packaged! We
could never do it on our own, so we are inviting everyone to
Straw-lution Packaging Parties! It’s a chance for us to share our
goals with you, get some time to chat with friends, and take advantage
of LOTS of extra hands!!

Every Thursday, starting this Thursday, July 22nd we are inviting
everyone over to the house! We will provide some snacks, drinks,
hats, and plastic gloves…!!! As long as you can count to twelve,
you are Perfect for the job!! We will never turn down help, (on any
day), but on Thursdays we will literally open the house up to anyone
that wants to come help from 10:00am- Midnight! Children are more
than welcome during the day, but after 8pm, we will bust out the
wine, and have some adult time!!

This is completely open to anyone and everyone that is interested in
“being a part” of the Straw-lution family, and helping out a local
entrepreneur! If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask

Jamie was up bright and early on Saturday, and headed for the KXAN studio. We had a spot on the KXAN morning show! It was very exciting, very nerve-wracking, and absolutely FLEW by! Check out the spot here!

We had an exTREMEly busy weekend! We split up so we could head in two different directions. We had a big local festival, in Georgetown, and then the huge Dallas Kids Expo! Both were tons of fun and gave us the opportunity to meet some new faces and work with some very friendly people. Thanks to everyone involved (especially the guy in Dallas who found a dolly and helped us take everything back to our car after a loooong day on our feet!!)!

Wow, three weeks ago, if you had told us we’d soon be filling an international sale, we might just have laughed till it hurt…! But, here we are today at our favorite PostNet store, boxing up 1,000 bags of straws to send to Singapore!
